Signs of spring

I've been thrilled in the past few weeks at the signs of spring. Our snow completely melted and the sun was shining every day. Temperatures were warming up, and we even saw a robin last week! A sure sign of spring! It was so tempting to get into my garden and start digging up and relocating some of my plants. But knowing that snow often still flies at the end of March, I had to control myself. I didn't want to see an end to my lovely flowers that are starting to wake up now after a winter season. Spring offiicially begins this weekend, yet the temperature has now dropped and the fire is going strong in the wood stove in our living room. So it continues.
The little story I'm writing also continues to plod along. Nearing the end of it is exciting and it would be easy to quickly wrap it up and yell "Wahoo! I'm done!". But, it too would suffer if I jumped the gun. So I wait, and slowly write my words, read through it and rewrite the words. It is young yet, and needs a lot of watering to grow it. But it will grow, and when it is time, it will flourish and produce good things. That's my goal anyways!
