To Come is the Call ("O Come All Ye Faithful")

Come.
A radiant angel messenger met with some shepherds in a field one night, long ago, near a small town called Bethlehem. It was an amazing night. An unforgettable night. A monumental night.
And a call was put forth.
Come.
There they were, doing their normal thing, watching their flocks of sheep. It was a normal night.
Until the angel.
Then their world was turned upside down.
An angel appeared in the night sky. Stunning. Unnerving. Awesome.
The Lord's glory shone in the air around them.
It was a light like no other. Dazzling. Magnificent. Extraordinary.
And it was terrifying.
But what is frightened can be reassured.
And words of comfort were spoken.
"Don't be afraid!"
Come.
It came in the words of promise.
"You will find a baby ..."
The call looked different than most; the call wasn't a direct command, but it hinted at the fact that they would go and they would find.
It beckoned:
"You will find Him.
You will recognize Him."
So they spurred each other on saying, "Come on, let's go to Bethlehem! Let's see this wonderful thing that has happened!"
Come.
And they went.
And they found.
And they worshipped.
O come, all you faithful ones ... come joyful, come triumphant!
Come to Bethlehem. Come see the babe. Come see the King of angels!
Come.
O come, and adore Him. Worship Him.
He is Christ the Lord!
Come.
O come, sing! Sing angels! Sing humans! Sing! You have a voice, you have a spirit. Come and sing praises. Sing in exultation ~ with triumph, with joy!
Come.
Come to Bethlehem and behold. See with your eyes; hold that image in your hearts, in your minds.
A baby. A Saviour. A baby. A King. A baby. A Lion. A baby. A Lamb.
Come.
O come, all you faithful ones.
Come.
It is the greatest call; the greatest gift.
Come, behold, sing, worship, rejoice.
For the Lord has come.
The shepherds heard the call.
They went.
They saw.
They found.
Come.
The call is for you and me too.
Come.
Come behold, come worship, come receive.
Stand in awe of the gift. Let your spirit tremble with joy. Let your soul sing with hope. Let your heart fall more in love with your Saviour.
Come.
Come before Him. Come to Him.
Come. This is where you belong. There is great news of great joy for everyone.
Come and receive.
He is for you.
He is the greater One.
He loves you like no other.
Come like the shepherds, to Jesus the Saviour. And find Him.
Come joyful and triumphant.
Come.

"Come, let us sing to the Lord! ... Come, let us worship and bow down." (Psalm  95:1,6, NLT)
