Revision - pulling the weeds

It has been a long while since I last wrote. Since then, I've finished my first draft of the book I'm writing. That's exciting! Now on to the revisions. At times that is overwhelming to me. Pulling out all the weeds is not usually fun, although there is the excitement of what will be revealed, so it's very worth it. And once I get going, one section at a time, there is that sense of accomplishment, and the hope of what will be, overshadows the task of changing what is. And as I go outside into my back yard gardens, I see that I have to tackle the same task there too. From experience, I know that without the weeds, the garden not only looks better, but it also flourishes, and beauty goes unhindered. Hmmmm... I love it!
