Boxes of Love

I did this thing the other day.
Something I've never done before.
I went to a warehouse.
A warehouse transformed into a center of hope.
A home of light.
A dwelling of beauty.
A processing center for a mission ~ Operation Christmas Child.

Where unity and purpose collided and hope was nurtured.
Where love was packaged and sent away.
Where joy permeated the air.
Where whispered prayers were answered.
Where power and authority ruled.
Where stories were shared.
Where strangers worked, side by side.
Where new-comers and veterans helped each other out.
Where life was breathed.
Where hearts were opened.
Where passion induced excitement.
Where worship filled the atmosphere, in musical notes and humming voices.
Where smiles graced faces.
Where hugs touched souls.
Where the church, the people of God, took action.
And loved like He loves.

God is good.
In the process of allowing Him to use you to love others, you become one of the loved.
In the position of serving, you become one of the served.
Within the purpose of the package is servanthood and renewed perspective.
Within the package of a gift box, is the gift for all.
Love.
For all ~ for the giver and the receiver.
And God knew all that.
When His people put toys and other items into shoeboxes.
He knew all that.
When His people humbled themselves to help.
He knew all that.
When His people took the time to care.
He knew all that.

Love for all.

All for love.
